Avoiding a crisis in the Middle East
An international company was accused of creating a major public health problem in several North African and West Asian markets. The accusation came from a sensational and poorly -researched European TV programme. Our job was to monitor media, social media and discussions amongst policy makes in six markets to see whether these allegations surfaced and, if they did, whether they had been taken seriously. If needed, Hyderus was also responsible for developing messages and activities for countering the misinformation and for training company staff who would have to interact with policy makers and with the media. We had to do all off this without stirring up interest in a story which might well go unnoticed.
